• Delicious Fruits - Crimson Sweet Watermelon fruit is known for its sweet red flesh and green striped skin. These watermelons grow to about 20 to 25 pounds.
• Growth - Watermelons will grow on a vine that reaches a mature height of about 10 inches tall. They trail outward, taking up roughly 8 to 10 feet of land. So just keep this in mind when planting your watermelon seeds. You may need some extra space.
• When to Plant - Watermelons LOVE the heat of Summer. they are much like pumpkins in this aspect. You can sow right in the garden when temperatures are above 80F. Water at the roots and watch them blow up in size.
• Harvest - Crimson Sweet Watermelons will be ready to harvest 90 days after first sprouts appear. When ready, cut the fruits from the vine, leaving about 2 inches of stem to prevent rotting. Store for a week at room temperature, or 2 in the fridge.
